Job Purpose
Study relevant tender documentations, Scope of Works, Drawings, Specifications, and BOQ to quantify/survey project components to verify or create accurate BOQ.
Key Accountability Areas
- Project Analysis: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope, and requirements.
- Quantity Survey: Preparation of full quantity survey on associated materials, trades and full project scope of works.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for accurate proposals and meet the project or clients’ requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project scopes and propose risk mitigation strategies and solutions if applicable.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and documentation outlining quantity estimates, calculations, assumptions and considerations, and methodologies used and applied in project.
- Presentation: Present quantity calculations, comparison to Tendering engineer or Tendering manager for approvals and discussions.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and cost-efficient methodologies to enhance quantity survey accuracy and can provide clients satisfactory approvals.
Role Accountability
- Full understanding of all civil works components, construction methodologies and techniques.
- 5 years minimum of proven experience in quantity survey in construction Industry as quantity surveyor.
- Proficiency in quantity survey software, tools, and programs.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, method of measurements, codes, and best practices in the field.
- Can work in minimal supervision and under tight schedules.
