Purchasing Specialist

A major decoration company is looking to fill a vacant position for a purchasing specialist in Jeddah

Job Objective

Review and implement the objectives and policies of data and information related to procurement, from following up on the technical and logistical requirements to implement them and achieve their operations, and from reviewing the requests of the organizational units associated with them, a set of operations and activities that are practiced in the procurement process.

Main tasks and responsibilities

- Reviewing procurement data and information in the electronic procurement system.

- Preparing purchase requests and coordinating with organizational units to provide various technical and logistical requirements.

- Reviewing, confirming, documenting and informing the concerned parties of the requests of the organizational units of procurement, and updating them in the procurement records.

- Preparing and updating supplier data on an ongoing basis.

- Preparing and developing the procurement department and setting procurement plans.

- Proposing any new ideas that would improve the efficiency of procurement to the direct manager.

- Coordinating to conduct a technical analysis of the offers and ensuring their compliance with the company's standards and requirements.

- Implementing any other tasks assigned to him by the direct manager.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Fluency in spoken and written English

- At least 4 years of experience in purchasing

- Experience in writing reports

- Experience in negotiations

- Experience in effective communication with suppliers
