Purchasing specialist

We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist with expertise in the chemical field to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, as well as extensive knowledge of chemical products and suppliers. They will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing chemical materials, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. This role requires excellent analytical and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to stay updated on industry trends and regulations. The candidate should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

1. Source and purchase chemical materials and products from approved suppliers
2. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
3. Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance
4. Coordinate with internal teams to determine purchasing needs and specifications
5. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new chemical products
6. Analyze purchasing data and generate reports for management
7. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
8. Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels
9. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
10. Stay updated on market trends and pricing

Preferred Candidate:

1.Minimum of 1 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management in the chemical industry
