Purchasing Officer

We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist with expertise in the chemical field to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, as well as extensive knowledge of chemical products and suppliers.

• Evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best combination of price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
• Review and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) submitted by various departments.
• Ensure all PRs are complete and contain accurate information before approval.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and timelines.
• Create and issue Purchase Orders (PO) based on approved PRs and RFQs.
• Track and manage open POs to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues.
• Verify receipt of goods and services against POs and ensure proper documentation.
• Handle all aspects of international purchasing, including communication with overseas suppliers and understanding of import/export regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sources of supply.
