The Position

In this role, you will play a key role in shaping Novo Nordisk Saudi Arabia's external engagement strategy by driving stakeholder advocacy, policy shaping, and partnerships with healthcare systems. The position is a primary external representative, working closely with government officials, policymakers, and professional organizations to position Novo Nordisk as a trusted partner in improving patient outcomes across diabetes, obesity, and rare diseases.

Your main accountabilities will include:

• Deliver public affairs projects, partnerships, and advocacy initiatives within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and external stakeholders to influence policy decisions.
• Track market dynamics, regulatory developments, and legislative changes, providing internal updates and strategic recommendations.
• Identify collaboration opportunities with industry groups and associations to amplify advocacy efforts.

Develop and implement external communication plans, ensuring compliance with lobbying regulations and fostering awareness of key business matters.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic degree in pharma, public policy or related field. A business background is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position within Healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including those at the executive level.
• Demonstrated communication strengths, including internal and external messaging.
• Project Management skills (experience in handling different projects in dealing with government entities).
• experience is a must.
• Strong networking and presentation skills
• English proficiency, both written and spoken.

About the Department

The Market Access and Public Affairs (MAPA) function is very critical to short-term and strategic affiliate priorities. To keep the focus on those responsibilities, MAPA team members are leading the transformation initiatives and striving for cross-function execution excellence internally and in the field. The function covers pricing activities, key account management for private, Field market access, and public affairs.
