Project/Program Delivery Manager - Banking Sector (with IT Expertise)

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project/Program Delivery Manager with strong IT expertise to lead and manage the delivery of complex projects and programs within the banking sector. This role will focus on delivering IT-driven banking solutions, digital transformations, and regulatory compliance projects, with a deep understanding of banking technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from technical execution to stakeholder management, ensuring alignment with business goals, financial regulations, and IT strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership in Banking IT Projects: Lead and manage IT-focused banking projects, including digital banking initiatives, core banking system upgrades, fintech integrations, and cloud migrations. Ensure the integration of modern technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Stakeholder & IT Governance Management: Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and IT teams, ensuring seamless communication across departments. Ensure that all projects meet regulatory standards and banking industry best practices, including compliance with GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other relevant banking regulations.
• Technology & Digital Transformation: Oversee IT-driven transformations such as mobile banking apps, online banking solutions, cybersecurity initiatives, and integration of emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and cloud computing within banking operations.
• Risk, Security, & Compliance Management: Identify and manage potential risks related to IT security, data privacy, and financial compliance, working closely with security and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of banking systems.
• IT Resource & Budget Management: Efficiently allocate IT resources, ensuring the right technical skills are available for each project. Oversee budgets for IT projects, ensuring financial objectives are met while keeping costs within scope.
• Project Delivery Methodology: Utilize proven project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches tailored to banking IT projects. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of IT initiatives that meet business requirements and align with digital transformation strategies.
• Technical Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular, clear updates to stakeholders on the technical status of projects, including risk mitigation and compliance tracking. Ensure all project documentation, including IT architecture, code reviews, and security assessments, are complete and compliant.
• Continuous Improvement & IT Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in IT project delivery, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to optimize project outcomes. Stay updated on the latest trends in banking technology to propose innovative solutions that add value.
