As Quant is continuously growing its client basis and project portfolio, your role as a Project Manager is to develop sufficient project documentation as well as manage, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of Quant’s service projects. The data science projects are across several industries and in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the allocation of budget, staff and any other resource(s) that are needed to accomplish or achieve set out projects.
Manage, direct, support, and control all aspect of data science projects both internally and externally and ensure proper delivery within the identified timeframe, quality standards, cost, and scope of work. Projects are focused on a few industries such as real estate, retail, space, and financial services.
Create required project documents including project plans, progress reports, change requests, corrective action documents, and any supporting documents for Quant and its clients.
Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
Liaise with third parties and communicating with project stakeholders to ensure proper engagement from all parties involved.
Work with other managers and function leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
Negotiate necessary changes to the scope of work, project price, and time with the client, key subcontractors, and project team.
Assign responsibility for executing project plans to subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.
Establish and facilitate daily and weekly meetings both with project team and clients to review project status and create action items.
Develop and ensure the quality of project management policies, tools, and systems, and reinforces organization standards.
Conduct project evaluation reviews and return on investment analysis to assess and document project outcomes.
Periodically reporting the performance of the projects with the senior management and ensuring alignment of the company’s key targets with the performance of the Data Science Department.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
RequirementsPreferred Certifications: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Management Information System, Industrial Engineering, business administration, or similar majors.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate.
