ROLE OVERVIEW
Assist all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects. Monitor performance and prepare project reports. Active support in achieving project goals.
ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Lead Project Engineer's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Assets Management
- Provide assistance in project planning, project execution, and/or project control.
- Participate in engineering development activities, 3D model reviews and HAZOPs.
- Support Asset Operations in developing SIMOPS procedure and manual solution for stakeholder interface during construction and operation and commissioning phases.
- Assist in resolving project execution problems related to project planning deficiencies, project quality defects (in engineering, procurement, or construction), schedule slippages, and potential cost over runs.
- Participate in the development of standards, guidelines, instructions, policies and procedures.
- Active support for project mobilization tasks.
- Ensure that all tasks are delivered on time and on budget.
Contracts Management
- Support contract Manager in the resolution of any variation or claim.
- Prepare SOW and RFP's and hand them over to procurement.
- Monitor transaction compliance (milestone, deliverables, invoicing, etc.) to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled and in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the identification of issues, special circumstances or breaches of contracts and propose corrective solutions.
HSE
- Monitor HSE policies, standards, processes, procedures, and controls during the project phases.
- Ensure that projects are carried out with minimal environmental impact and are implemented in compliance with international standards as well as local rules and regulations to achieve environmental and sustainability objectives
Reports
- Prepare and provide regular reports on projects progress, deliverables of milestones.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of work experience in project or process engineering or equal
- Experience in project management or related field preferred
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software.
- The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Knowledge of the administrative rules, and regulations relating to construction, operations management, project management and asset management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across the organization.
- Strong presentation skills, presentation preparation and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
