Procurement Unit Head

To manage the procurement operations and strategies within the required time frame, budget and quality standards in order to meet operational requirements for materials, supplies and services for the project.

key Accountabilities:

• Manage the processing of purchasing requests according to the approved terms and conditions, payment terms in order to get the materials/services on time.

• Manage physical inventories by working closely with storekeeper or material control to minimize unnecessary cost.

• Perform the selection and negotiation with the suppliers in terms of price, delivery, quality and terms of payment to obtain favorable deals for the company  

• Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all works in the Procurement is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.

• Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

• Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

• Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet departmental requirements, policies and quality standards.
