Procurement Tasks:Source and purchase goods, services, and materials on time and within budget.Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.Build and maintain a strong supplier database and long-term relationships.Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs.Ensure timely submission of signed documents and maintain accurate records of purchases and contracts.Software Proficiency:Manage procurement processes through software, including tasks like item creation, estimate preparation, sales order and purchase order conversions, and generating delivery notes efficiently and accurately.Market Knowledge and Analysis:Leverage existing connections and build strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable sourcing.Stay informed about market trends, product availability, and pricing fluctuations to optimize procurement strategies and ensure the best deals for the company.Utilize supplier networks to identify and recommend trustworthy and high-performing vendors that align with the company’s needs.Communication and Follow-Up:Email and follow up with customers and suppliers to ensure timely responses and actions.Address and resolve any discrepancies in orders or deliveries promptly.Interdepartmental coordination and collaboration to achieve shared objectives (i.e. notifying teams of procurement completion).Cost Management:Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
