Pre-Sales Engineer - Fire & Life Safety - Saudi Arabia / Al-Khobar

Join our Smart Infrastructure Buildings (SI B) team as Pre-Sales Engineer - Fire & Life Safety and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow.
Your Role – International, Challenging and Future-Oriented!- Reporting to the Head of Bid & Proposal Management (BPM), you will be part of the centralized team and responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Analyze tender requirements, assess customer needs, and define the most suitable Siemens Fire & Safety products, architecture, and systems.
- Configure, size, and estimate costs for Fire & Life Safety Systems, including Fire Detection & Alarm, Aspirated Smoke Detection, Smoke Control/Management, Voice Evacuation, Fire Telephone, and Fire Suppression (FK-5-1-12, Inert Gas).
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial offers, ensuring compliance with Siemens' Bid Approval Process and risk evaluation guidelines.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, leading technical discussions with customers and consultants.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to optimize bid success and improve order conversion rates.
- Provide pre-sales and technical support across all regions in Saudi Arabia, including travel as needed.
- Clarify and resolve technical concerns by coordinating with Regional Technical Support and Factory representatives.
- Ensure a seamless project handover to execution teams.
- Develop technical standards and procedures while proposing improvements for Fire & Safety solutions.
- Maintain data accuracy, track proposal quality, and ensure compliance with all submission requirements.
- Promote Siemens Fire Products and Solutions.
Your Qualifications and Skills – Digital And Solid!- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in the Fire & Life Safety industry.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA, BS, IBC standards, and local fire safety codes, including the Saudi Fire Code and HCIS SAF Guidelines.
- Familiarity with client-specific standards from Saudi Aramco, SEC, SABIC, Marriott, and others.
- Proven expertise in designing and estimating medium to large-scale fire safety projects, including Fire Detection & Alarm, Aspirated Smoke Detection, Smoke Control/Management, Voice Evacuation, Fire Telephone, Fire Suppression (FK-5-1-12, Inert Gas) etc.
- Strong grasp of IP networking in fire safety systems, including network security considerations.
- Knowledge of cloud-based solutions, APIs, and edge gateways.
- Familiarity with Siemens’ UL & EN Fire Portfolio is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in estimating complex fire safety systems for industrial projects such as refineries, power plants, substations, and gas plants.
- Self-driven professional with a strong ability to adapt to emerging technologies and new products.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, including proposal writing.
- Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Strong public speaking, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, capable of leading cross-functional teams and technical discussions across global regions.
- Team-oriented, thriving in dynamic work environments.
- Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Clean Agent System Flow Calculation Software.
