JASARA PMC is searching for a Policies, Standards & Guidelines Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of policies, standards, and guidelines within the organization. This position is vital for ensuring that all operations align with regulatory requirements and best practices in the civil infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and foster a culture of compliance and excellence.


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the management and update of the technical policies, standards and guidelines relating to Engineering Services and Facilities Management (i.e. design, engineering, construction, risk, quantity surveying, HSE, Sustainability, BIM, GIS, FM).
  • Coordinates with the Engineering Services Director and Facilities Management Director and Section Heads within both F&E Directorates to identify improvement areas.
  • Liaises with wider industry bodies to capture the latest approaches to delivery of Engineering and Facilities Management Services.
  • Studies the best practices on design, engineering and FM policies and seek applicability to F&E.
  • Reviews government guidelines including safety, environment, sustainability policies, procedures and standards.
  • Reviews international guidelines applicable to design, engineering and FM for developing infrastructure and facilities and incorporates applicable rules, regulations and guidelines.
  • Updates the Engineering Services and FM Policies, Standards and Guidelines.
  • Communicates to F&E on updates to Engineering and FM Policies, Standards and Guidelines.
  • Coordinates with Regulatory Authorities to update Standards.
  • Recommends updates to the standards, policies and guidelines for approval at the Infrastructure Board.
  • Acts as the custodian of the developed standards and specifications.
  • Tracks and ensures compliance with Engineering and FM Policies, Guidelines, and Standards.
  • Maintains records of professional membership requirements and checks for compliance e.g. maintaining continuous professional development.
  • Reviews design at various stages of project (i.e.30%, 60% & 90% completion) to ensure compliance.
