ROLE OVERVIEW



The People PMO Lead will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the People PMO function, ensuring seamless execution of key projects, governance, and reporting. This role is pivotal in setting up and optimizing PMO processes, tools, and frameworks, driving structured project management discipline across People initiatives. The role will require strong PMO acumen, expertise in project management tools, and the ability to create compelling presentations and reports.



REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY


  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in People Project Management
  • Proven HR acumen across one or more areas of expertise
  • Proven financial acumen with a strong understanding of budgeting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to create complex financial models and analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Experience in budgeting within a large or complex organization preferred.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES


The People PMO Lead responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:


Project Management


  • Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of HR projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budget, timelines, and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, milestones, and key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.

Stakeholder Management


  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to align requirements with overall organizational objectives.
  • Present and explain budget plans, forecasts, and analyses to HR leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for budget-related inquiries, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure open lines of communication and trust.

Budget Planning and Alignment


  • Develop and implement the annual HR budget in alignment with organizational strategy and HR goals.
  • Identify areas for budget optimization and potential cost savings without compromising strategic HR initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of HR spending with department goals and company objectives.
  • Partner with HR functions to forecast budget needs based on anticipated projects and activities.

Data Analysis, Governance and Reporting


  • Establish standardized governance structures for PMO function.
  • Ensure timely reporting of project progress, KPIs, and critical risks.
  • Develop concise and visually compelling presentations and dashboards.
  • Analyze historical and current budget data to forecast future spending needs accurately.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to build and maintain budget models that support decision-making.
  • Provide detailed reporting to management with actionable insights based on budget trends.
  • Support the automation of budget reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources with a strong HR Acumen
  • Strong understanding of PMO frameworks, governance, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in PMO tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation design skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience in HR transformation projects is a plus.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin
