We are looking for a Plant Manager who will lead the production team in the factory to execute the Business Strategy and deliver the expected objectives, through continuous improvement mindset to improve cost, service, safety and quality with the plant shopfloor team, autonomous and agile enough to make decisions and drive operations efficiently. Last but not least ensure compliance and sustainability journey in line with the factory objectives
Focus of this role is to:
Execute and deliver the Business objectives. Sustainably improve cost, service, safety and quality Ensure product & process compliance including sustainability Develop autonomy, empower and engage with people to become high performing through Standards implementation and continuous improvement mindset. Functional Responsibilities Protect the core: ensure and sustain safe operations, product quality and records accuracy, through adherence to Company principles, Standards , Policies and local Laws and regulations. Fully responsible for the Safety and quality culture and conditions for safe and compliant working environment
Operations Performance: Share the Business Objectives to the Plant Leadership team and ensure that all functions are setting ambitious targets and challenging the status quo. Lead the Plant Leadership Team to optimize the Manufacturing impact on the cost including Material usage. Ensure and support timely successful launch of new/renovated products and new equipment, with the optimal operational costs ensuring Business growth. Foster simplification of recipes, Raw and packaging materials focusing on local supply
People development and environment relationship: Ensure that production/leadership team have clear ownership and accountability for results. Work for autonomous team on shopfloor by proper development plan and clear targets. Promote and support cross fertilization of Manufacturing Best Practices through the factory team.
What will make you successful…
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline e.g. engineering or food science 5 – 10 years’ experience in food manufacturing Operational experience (2 years +) Leading teams (2 years +), Demonstrated capability to lead a group of people Experience in operational excellence (2 years +) Experience in change Management Experience in different environments in manufacturing operations Successful in leading projects involving different departments or functions. Knowledge in products and technologies that the plant produces (Product and process mastership) Advance knowledge of manufacturing instructions and quality standards Exposure to continuous improvement and employee involvement techniques. Advanced understanding of the related departments and their role (Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, etc…) Knowledge of HR policies, industrial relation/legislation, and Basic knowledge of Engineering, Quality, Costing, Supply Chain.
