To control and monitor project total expenditure and time scheduling including verifying and checking invoices and claims from vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded, and the stages of the project are completed as per schedule & time frame.
Principal Accountabilities: (the 6-9 main areas of responsibility)
Planning & Cost Control
Provide planning and cost-controlling support for all projects in terms of variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress, the preparation of customer billing processes… etc
Perform and monitor project activity scheduling and verifying for developed actions
Perform technical and commercial review of long-time tenders (subcontractor’s quotations) for the preparation of service agreements
Analyse, and monitor effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the entire project management system to control the status of all purchases, invoicing, and delivery up to the closure of the project
Prepare monthly vessel movement report for the monitoring of the vessel activities on a daily basis and register all downtime, consumptions and vessel-related issues relating to the project promptly to the project manager and management
Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues and ensure the delivery/completion of the project work
Attend project meetings and discussions with the PM team and external consultants
Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget
Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal team as and when required
Self-Management
Define performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year
Take ownership of your own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the reporting manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training
Understand the competencies relevant to the role, and work towards displaying as well as developing these effectively
Keep abreast of relevant professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional networks
Handle any additional tasks as per business needs
