Pipe Fitter

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems and equipment aboard maritime vessels.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
• Measure and cut pipes to the required lengths, ensuring proper alignment and fitting.
• Assemble and weld pipe sections, supports, brackets, and hangers using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure all work meets the specifications and regulations set by IACS and other relevant standards.
• Perform pressure testing on completed systems to ensure integrity and functionality.
• Collaborate with other team members, including welders, engineers, and other technical staff, to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines during all tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping systems, including leaks, blockages, and failures.
• Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
