Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive OT security architectures, including network segmentation, security zones, and security controls for ICS, SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems
Develop and implement OT security strategies, policies, standards, and procedures while ensuring compliance with industrial security standards (IEC 62443, NIST 800-82)
Lead security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk evaluations of industrial control systems and OT infrastructure, including coordination of security testing activities
Monitor, detect, and respond to security events in OT environments, including incident response planning and execution for industrial systems
Manage and maintain OT security tools, technologies, and monitoring solutions while overseeing OT security operations activities
Coordinate with vendors, engineering teams, and IT security teams on secure system design, security implementations, and IT/OT convergence initiatives
Review and approve changes to OT systems, ensuring secure configurations and maintaining operational continuity
Develop and maintain comprehensive OT documentation, including asset inventory, network documentation, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
Lead OT security awareness training programs and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
Create and present regular security reports and metrics to stakeholders on OT security posture and program effectiveness
Qualifications:
14+ years of experience in IT Security with 7+ years of specific experience in Operational Technology (OT) environments
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with relevant security certifications (GICSP, CISM, CISSP) and industrial control system certifications
Extensive knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS, SCADA, DCS, PLC), OT network protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC), and major OT vendors (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)
Deep understanding of industrial security standards (IEC 62443, NIST 800-82), regulatory requirements (NERC CIP, NIS Directive), and OT security architecture frameworks
Strong experience with OT security assessment tools, industrial network monitoring tools, and OT security vendor solutions
Comprehensive knowledge of safety systems, safety instrumented systems, and industrial operations in energy, manufacturing, or utility sectors
Demonstrated expertise in IT/OT convergence, including experience with cloud technologies for OT environments
Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships
Excellent communication and documentation abilities, with proven experience presenting to various stakeholders
Must be able to work on-call when required and travel to industrial sites (up to 30%)
Preferred: Background in process control or automation, experience with safety instrumented systems, and knowledge of emerging OT security technologies
