The role is based out of Riyadh.
Job Overview:
As a Transcreator, you will join our team as a talented Translator with strong editing and transcreation abilities. This role combines linguistic expertise with creative writing skills to adapt and localize content for diverse audiences while ensuring grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides. You will enhance the readability and impact of written materials, ensuring cultural relevance and maintaining the original intent and brand voice.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcreation:
Adapt and rewrite creative content to resonate with the target audience, preserving the emotional tone and intent of the original message
Ensure cultural relevance and appropriateness in all adaptations by understanding the cultural context of both the source and target languages. This includes considering local idioms, expressions, and cultural nuances to ensure that the message is both suitable and impactful
Write with a deep understanding of audience preferences and behavior
Post-Editing:
Review and refine translated content to enhance clarity, coherence, and accuracy, ensuring it meets the brand's tone and style guidelines
Correct grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors in translated materials, ensuring the highest quality of submitted deliverables
Collaboration:
Work closely with multiple stakeholders to align messaging and ensure that the translated content integrates seamlessly into various formats
Provide constructive feedback to peers and contribute to team discussions to enhance overall project quality
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough quality checks on all post-edited and transcreated materials to ensure they meet project specifications and brand guidelines
Maintain consistency across translated and adapted content, ensuring adherence to brand voice and messaging
Project Management:
Manage timelines effectively and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines without compromising quality
Communicate progress and any challenges with the project team to ensure alignment and efficiency
Research:
Stay updated on industry trends, cultural nuances, and language developments to inform translation and transcreation strategies
Conduct research on local customs, preferences, and trends to inform the transcreation process
Explore specific subject matter and terminology relevant to projects
Soliciting Opinion:
Engage stakeholders and team members to refine ideas and messaging.
Use insights from target audiences to fine-tune the drafted message for optimal impact.
Incorporate feedback from clients or target audiences to refine the transcreated material.
Leadership:
Act as a guardian of quality by reviewing and refining translations across projects.
Actively participate in team discussions and creative brainstorms.
Take responsibility for the accuracy and effectiveness of assigned projects.
Culture:
Foster a positive, team-oriented environment in the translation process.
Share knowledge with colleagues and seek opportunities to develop new skills.
Ethics & Compliance:
Ensure that all transcreated content is truthful, responsible, and adheres to ethical marketing practices.
Follow legal and regulatory guidelines for content creation.

AI:
Utilize AI tools to brainstorm, refine, and proofread transcreated content, enhancing both efficiency and quality.
Leverage AI for repetitive tasks, such as adapting content for multiple formats or languages, while ensuring cultural relevance.
Share insights on how AI can assist the team in the transcreation process, improving overall workflow and effectiveness.
Skills and Attributes:
Creative Writing: Proficient in crafting engaging and clear transcreated content across various platforms and formats, tailored to resonate with target audience.
Collaboration and Communication: Skilled in working with stakeholders and other team members to deliver cohesive creative solutions while articulating ideas clearly and incorporating feedback effectively.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy in grammar, spelling, and tone, ensuring all deliverables are polished and professional.
Versatility and Adaptability: Capable of producing both long-form and short-form transcreated content, adapting messaging to suit different mediums, audiences, and project needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional translation experience, particularly in creative and marketing contexts.
Native proficiency in Arabic and excellent command of English
Proficient in Microsoft Office application
Experience with CAT tools (such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or similar) is essential
Strong editing skills with experience in providing feedback to other translators.
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
