الوصف الوظيفي
Aramco energizes the world economy.
Aramco occupies a unique position in the global energy industry. We are the world's largest producer of hydrocarbons (oil and gas), with the lowest upstream carbon intensity of any major producer.
With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco’s value to society.
Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations’ spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.
We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.
Overview We’re seeking NHT/CCR Process Optimization Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) organization under the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD) and drive performance improvements for our facilities. OESD’s technical team is a multidisciplinary team that provides the necessary high-quality technical support to GM operating facilities (refineries, Natural Gas Liquids facilities, and petrochemical plants) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the globe. You will identify optimization opportunities, develop data-driven recommendations, and guide facilities toward maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of facilities’ NHT and CCR units, focusing on identifying areas for optimization in yield, efficiency, and product quality.
Translate insights into actionable recommendations, supported by detailed cost-benefit analyses and clear implementation roadmaps.
Collaborate closely with facilities’ process engineering teams, providing technical guidance for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous optimization.
Lead technical benchmarking initiatives, comparing facilities’ performance against industry best practices to identify improvement gaps and provide recommendations.
Develop and deliver targeted technical training programs on NHT/CCR technologies, best practices, and optimization strategies.
Guide facilities in selecting and implementing advanced process simulation tools and optimization techniques specific to NHT and CCR units.
Provide expert technical advice on catalyst management strategies, including performance monitoring, selection, and replacement, based on hands-on experience.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technical advancements, best practices, and technologies in NHT/CCR process optimization, sharing this knowledge with facilities to enhance their operations.
Minimum Requirements As the successful candidate you will hold a:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, preferably Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on process optimization.
15 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 10 years of hands-on technical experience in NHT and CCR optimization within a refinery environment, and at least 5 years in a technical role focused on process improvement.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
You will be able to demonstrate strong technical background in process engineering fundamentals, including reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass and energy balances, as applied to NHT and CCR units.
Proficiency in leading process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and their application in NHT and CCR process modeling and optimization.
You will have demonstrated technical experience in successfully applying process optimization techniques, statistical data analysis, and advanced process control (APC) to drive measurable improvements in NHT and CCR units.
You will have experience with real-time optimization (RTO) techniques specifically applied to NHT and CCR units.
You will have in-depth technical knowledge of catalyst management and performance optimization strategies, gained through hands-on experience in NHT and CCR units.
Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, machine learning, and data analytics, and their application in optimizing NHT and CCR processes.
