Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, train, and inspire the beverage team to provide outstanding service.
- Conduct team meetings, offering guidance, feedback, and addressing any challenges.
- Manage staff schedules, ensuring the bar is adequately staffed during peak times.
Guest Service Excellence
- Provide exceptional service and a personalized experience to each guest.
- Recommend and craft unique, customized beverages based on guest preferences.
- Address guest feedback or concerns professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
- Beverage Preparation
- Design and prepare innovative and high-quality mocktails, fresh juices, smoothies, and other non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure drinks are made according to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Keep up-to-date with non-alcoholic trends to introduce creative and exciting drink offerings.
Operational Oversight
- Supervise the daily operations of the bar, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.
- Maintain stock levels and manage inventory of ingredients, tools, and supplies.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and any defects are reported for repair.
Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor and order ingredients for beverages to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Control costs by minimizing waste and tracking beverage usage.
- Keep accurate records of inventory and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring safe preparation and handling of all beverages.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic work environment in line with health standards.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are used safely and stored properly.
Training & Development
- Provide training on beverage preparation, guest service standards, and health guidelines.
- Encourage team development and ensure all staff are knowledgeable about drink options.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in beverages and pass that knowledge on to the team.
Administrative Duties
- Oversee the cash handling and POS transactions at the bar.
- Assist in staff performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Ensure all duties are completed efficiently and in line with hotel or establishment standards.
