JOB SUMMARY The Medical Director for a LTC hospital is a key
leadership role focused on ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care

Director plays crucial part in strategic planning, quality improvement, and

Ensure that medical strategies align with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and evolving healthcare trends to maintain the hospital’s position as a leader in long-term care.
Foster a culture of excellence in medical service delivery, promoting continuous improvement, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with other healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and community resources to enhance the scope and quality of medical services offered at the LTC hospital.
Act as a strategic leader, driving the hospital’s vision for long-term care services and ensuring that all medical initiatives support the overarching mission and goals of the organization.

Ensure the highest quality of registration and documentation of patients’ medical data and files, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records that support patient care and safety.
Oversee the financial aspects of the medical units, managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing measures to ensure financial sustainability and efficiency within the LTC hospital.
Encourage and drive clinical innovation, exploring new technologies, treatments, and care models to enhance the quality of life and health outcomes for LTC residents.
Serve as an advocate for the unique needs of LTC patients, working to address disparities, improve access to care, and enhance the overall patient experience.
