DIGAS is currently seeking an individual to fill our Acetylene Plant Operator position. The Acetylene Plant Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the Acetylene Plant and safe filling of all acetylene cylinders. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Monitor and control the acetylene production process, including the operation of compressors, purifiers, and other specialized equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
· Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations to protect the well-being of our employees, the community, and the environment.
· Maintain detailed records of production data, equipment performance, and any incidents or issues that arise.
· Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and product quality
· Follow established procedures for blowing acetylene cylinders down and getting them ready for re-qualification or maintenance
· Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
