Mechanical Engineering and design for institutional & recreational (buildings, transit maintenance facilities, parking structures, water treatment pump stations, Subway & LRT stations, telecommunication facilities, and railway/bus yards).
Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, technical specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal writing, technical reports, assist with cost estimates, detailed analyses, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
Development of mechanical design concepts with architects, engineers, and owners; design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, compressed air, specialty exhaust, building automation systems.
Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards.
Travel to the construction sites to conduct inspections and prepare report.
Technical supervision of junior engineers and technologists incl. mark-ups and review of design and drafting.
Assist with Mechanical system commissioning and attend site construction inspections.
Provide valuable leadership to junior staff while supporting them with skills development.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Suitable candidates shall be Chartered Engineers with minimum ten years of experience in a similar role.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Highly proficient computer skills including using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
HVAC, Plumbing and Firefighting experience is a must.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
