Purpose of the job
- TheFieldexecutionof the Project Materials Management Plan.oAssure sufficient Work Front in line with the project AWP approach.oActively mitigate Work Front shortages
- To be able to track and to report material items from inception through their final use in the field.
Principal Duties
- Built a Warehouse/ Field materials team and actively manage the warehouse staffing requirements.
- Leading the Warehouse team.
- Support/ advise construction management realizing project warehouse facilities.
- Assure highest level of MMS data quality.
- MMS data/information interpretation and follow-up.
- Develop project specific Field Materials Management plans (in line with the home
- office materials management plan and site/ client specific requirements):oInput in Site logistics planoStorage planoStaffing planoPreventive maintenance plan
- Establish materials related communication, procedural and logistic structures with the client, the home office, construction organization and contractors.
- Be focal point for client, the home office, construction organization and contractors for all materials related issues.oAble to report at any time during a project, the location of the supplied materials u/t issue of materials to contractors.oPro-actively interface between construction and home office concerning materials required in relation to the project schedule.
- Assure and manage safe, controlled & efficient on-site material (vertical & horizontal) movements in line with the AWP construction priorities and Worley work procedures.
- Assure and manage safe, controlled & efficient off-site to Contractor’s material flows in
- line with the AWP construction priorities and Worley work procedures.
- Assure safe, controlled & efficient material receipt, location control and issue.
- processes, in line with the AWP construction priorities and Worley work procedures, including for:oSite based Contractor project warehouses.oContractor off-Site Contractor shop warehouses
- Assure accurate and auditable commercial incoming goods inspections (including certificate check) according to Worley procedures.
- Assure accurate and auditable formal hand-over points at receipt & at issue of materials.
- Assure safe warehouse related horizontal and vertical movements.oIncluding safe offloading of delivered materials & loading of issued materials.
- Assure storage of the received materials in the most safe and suitable (lockable, fenced-off, conditioned) location.
- Set-up and chair material handling meetings with construction contractors.
- Prepare for upcoming material deliveries, based on the material status reports.
- Actively participate in construction progress meetings and report on materials status
- Handle spare and left-over materials.
- Training/ mentoring of Worley warehouse management potentials
Responsibility:
- Is responsible for:oSafety of his Warehouse team.oReaching the materials availability goals as per AWP schedule.oRunning safe, tidy, administered, and auditable warehouse facilities under his/her supervision.oThe quality of warehouse related movements data in MMS.oAssigning tasks to and leading of warehouse personnel under his/her supervision.oThe actions of warehouse personnel, under his/her supervision.oCreating and maintaining a good working relation with the client, home office, construction organization and contractors.
Qualification:
Relevant educational degree
Relevant projects' experience.
