• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Gathers and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
• Conducts market research, income forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the profitability of products.
• Composes, develops, evaluates, and conducts training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.
• Negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.
• Develops and expands the company's web presence through social media, email, web advertising, and other online sources; promotes the company brand through these channels.
• Assists with budget preparation for the marketing department.
• Develops and maintains a positive public image for the organization.
• Drafts and implements crisis management strategies to mitigate negative media exposure and other similar risks.
• Develops and implements event strategies to enhance brand visibility and stakeholder engagement.
• Promotes community events involving the company.
• Oversees and organizes fundraising activities.
• Seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest.
• Prepares and delivers presentations in the company to share information.
• Researches potential sources of grant money.
• Works to minimize damage from any type of immediate problem by utilizing principles of crisis management.
• Carry out any other tasks requested by the direct manager or the superior that are within the limits of the job, provided that this task does not make a fundamental difference in the basic tasks of the job.
