Job Purpose
Manage Ma'aden's HSE, responsible for developing and implementing organisational fire programs, review and update institutional HSE policies and conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures related to emergency response
Key Accountabilities
Drive cost/capital competitiveness by Ensuring all reporting personnel meet professional/technical/operational standards
Drive productivity and HSE target achievement, specifically those related to emergency response
Translation and execution of functional/departmental strategy
Resource and asset management
Operational/project plans and priorities
Manage all resources (people, money, equipment, etc) responsibly, ensuring safety and continuous compliance with requirements (cost, quality, due dates, targets) and alignment to enabling HSE strategy
Communicate and ensure that vision, values and business direction are embraced by the team
Performance management of team (facilitate frequent performance dialogue and take corrective action/give recognition)
Identify talent and develop personnel to ensure a competent work force and appropriate career development
Development and issuance of reports (fiscal, daily, monthly)
Manage and ensure, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the design, implementation, updating, review and auditing of Ma’aden HSE systems, specifically those related to emergency response
Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate HSE system procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in legislation and Ma’aden directives
Provide for motivation and familiarisation of all employees and contractors respecting the importance of complying with Ma’aden system procedures
Assist and advice the Commercial, Engineering and Operations departments in their dealings with clients in all issues concerned with emergency response at work
Plan and monitor execution of emergecny response audits both internal and external (sub-contractors)
Take part in accident / incident investigation and advise
Conduct and interpret analysis of accident / incident statistics, identify trends and suggest improvement plans (across Ma'aden)
Provide technical support to Senior Management on any emergency response related subjects
Manage and ensure effective safety training for all employees and management (in-house and outs-sourced)
Provide emergecny response related engineering input into new projects and modification programs
Ensure participation in HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities
Guide and manage effective emergecny response risk assessment
Prepare and review HSE documentation for new tenders, specifically those related to emergency response
Provide support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities
Manage all contracts related to emergency reposnse whether its related to personnel or equipment
Ensure availability of all emergency response equipment
Develop emergency response drills, monitor excecution, capture lesson learns and track all relative actions
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in engineering or relative field
Knowledge of HCIS directive requirement related to emergency response
Experience:
8 to 10 years of experience in safety or fire field
