Responsibilities
· As a Mainteance Scheduler (MetCal) your role will be to input data into the Management Information Systems utilised by RSAF Supply and MetCal departments. Plan, schedule and coordinate the calibration and repair activities of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Functions as the primary point of contact to ensure effective customer support. In addition, liaising with the Supply organisation on pick-up and delivery of serviceable and unserviceable Test Equipment requiring lateral and Out of Kingdom support through the Supply chain. Ensure that all Equipment requiring transportation is properly labelled, packed robustly and securely in accordance with the relevant RSAF directives
Job Requirements:
· Will have completed formal training (civilian or military) for maintenance scheduling and/or planning within a modern technical environment.
· Have at least five years practical experience functioning as a Maintenance Scheduler or Material Control Technician within a Technical environment.
· Ideally, will have experience of working in support of TMDE or in a similar organization handling delicate equipment.
· An extensive knowledge and experience of Management Information systems including data preparation and entry. A working knowledge of GOLDesp, Logistics and Supply Management system and Material Control processes would be advantageous.
· Shall have completed a formal training (civilian or military) for Maintenance Scheduling and or material Control within a modern Supply environment. Will be educated to High School level or as agreed by MetCal Wing Commander.
· Must possess a high level of English language skills and have the ability to adapt and learn new skills.
· Must be competent in I.T. usage and proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
· A current and valid driving license is necessary.
· Relevant work experience in a Maintenance Scheduling environment with a background in using supply management information systems. Robust attention to detail, maintain detailed records, personal intrigrity, good communication skills with the ability to present reports in a written and verbal format effectively in a courteous and professional manner. Good team work skill with the ability to self task and work unsupervised when necessary. Must be proficient with I.T. and be able to use Microsoft Office software applications to a competent level.
