Job Description:
The Local Content Specialist develops and oversees strategies to maximize the use of local resources, materials, and workforce. This role involves identifying new local suppliers and improving local content scores. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with local content regulations and achieving company targets.
Responsibilities:
Assisted in developing and implementing local content strategies aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Conducted technical evaluations of procurement bids to ensure compliance with RFPs.
Identified new suppliers to boost local content, in collaboration with the Procurement team.
Coordinated with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and LCGPA to support local content initiatives.
Built and maintained strong relationships with local suppliers to improve their capabilities and competitiveness.
Monitored and analyzed local content performance metrics and KPIs.
Prepared reports on local content achievements and areas for improvement.
Participated in forums, workshops, and conferences to share best practices and gain industry insights.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in local content, procurement, analyzing.
Strong understanding of local content regulations and requirements in KSA.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
