Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Unix servers.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
• Apply patches, updates, and security configurations as necessary.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Security Management:
• Implement and manage security policies and protocols.
• Monitor system logs for security and performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide technical support for system-related problems.
• Develop and document troubleshooting procedures.
• Automation and Scripting:
• Create and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks (e.g., shell scripts, Python, Perl).
• Implement configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• System Optimization:
• Perform regular system optimizations to enhance performance and reliability.
• Manage system resources (CPU, memory, disk space) and recommend upgrades as needed.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of systems and services.
• Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Generate regular reports on system health, performance, and incidents.
