Responsible for providing legal advice to the company,
managing legal risk and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Manage the legal aspects of business operations and
transactions, including managing relationships with external legal advisers and
regulatory bodies, providing guidance on employment law, intellectual property
rights and contractual disputes.
Developing and implementing legal strategies,
protecting the interests of the company, conducting legal research in the
region and monitoring legal changes.
Negotiate and draft various legal agreements and
contracts, represent the company to participate in legal proceedings where
necessary, and liaise with other departments to ensure legal compliance of
business activities.
Provide training to employees on legal matters and
compliance requirements, and make suggestions to management on legal
implications and potential risks.
Manage day-to-day legal and corporate affairs,
corporate actions (such as incorporation, liquidation and governance matters)
and M&A transactions.
Repot to the local General Manager and provide legal
opinions on labour law, tax law and intellectual property law.
Able to conduct due diligence and draft related
reports.
Supervise the team of foreign and Chinese legal
advisors and liaise with accountants, human resources departments and auditors
as required.
Maintain good relations with clients and their legal
advisors for better supervision and coordination of the company's work.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in law
and familiar with the local labour law, contract law, corporation law,
Sino-foreign joint venture/cooperative enterprise law, intellectual property
law and tax law.
Have a legal practicing
qualification and be able to communicate and negotiate fluently in English.
Excellent written and oral legal
English skills. Those who are proficient in other Saudi (Middle East) languages
will be preferred.
At least 5-8 years of relevant
work experience, with experience in dealing with foreign clients in foreign law
firms/consultancies, must have experience in the establishment and liquidation
of foreign companies, joint ventures, share transfers and related procedures.
Entrepreneurial spirit,
attention to details, strong organisational skills, excellent communication
skills (verbal/written) and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Have a problem-solving approach,
be willing to learn and share knowledge.
Familiar with the legal systems
of the Middle East, Europe and America, able to review contracts, MOUs and NDAs
involving the legal systems of Europe and America, able to communicate smoothly
with law firms in different countries and have experience in legal compliance
of overseas subsidiaries.Strong
sense of responsibility, dedication, courage to accept challenging work, with
team spirit and able to travel overseas on business.
