Position Overview The ENTERTAINER is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our business operations. This role is based in Riyadh, KSA, and requires a native Arabic speaker with experience in a corporate legal position within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will safeguard our reputation by ensuring strict adherence to legal guidelines and providing expert legal advice to management on all relevant issues. You will play a crucial role in ensuring legal conformity and minimizing the probability of exposure. Key Responsibilities
Legal Documentation and Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
Legal Advice: Provide accurate, commercially sound legal advice to all stakeholders on various issues (including employment laws). Clarify legal language or specifications for the organization.
Risk Mitigation: Identify, mitigate, and manage contractual, legal, and commercial risks throughout the contract lifecycle. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive legal advice.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Dispute Resolution / Litigation: Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, including coordinating with external legal counsels. Advise on settlement negotiations and legal strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders and Company’s management to develop effective defense strategies.
Governance: Specify and monitor internal governance policies.
Legal Updates: Stay current on legislative changes.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD). A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) is not required but favorable.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified legal counsel in a business environment, with specific experience in a corporate legal position in KSA.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant laws (including corporate law and procedures).
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
