Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) and procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Lead quality audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, facilities, and products to assess compliance with quality standards, identify non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct supplier quality assessments and evaluations to ensure that vendors and subcontractors meet quality requirements and specifications, and manage supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and quality assurance protocols to monitor and verify product and process quality at various stages of production.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, and customer service, to address quality issues, resolve non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze quality data, including product defects, customer complaints, and process deviations, to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans to address systemic issues.
Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees, covering topics such as quality standards, inspection techniques, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Participate in new product development projects, design reviews, and risk assessments to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Maintain documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including quality manuals, procedures, audit reports, and corrective action plans, and ensure compliance with document control procedures.
Stay updated on industry best practices, advancements in quality management technology, and changes in quality standards and regulations, and implement changes as needed to maintain compliance and improve quality performance.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; professional certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance, with progressive experience in quality management, auditing, and process improvement, preferably in manufacturing or engineering industries.
Experience in developing and implementing quality management systems (QMS), including document control, process control, and quality assurance processes and procedures.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, including ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex quality data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
