ROLE OVERVIEW
The Lead Developer - Port TOS is responsible for delivering and managing the development needed for the TOS regarding the approved operational gaps, and/or interfaces development with other systems. Responsible for identifying improvements and gathering new user requests. Analyze, design, and implement enhancement in the systems.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Lead Developer - Port TOS' responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
System Operations
- Develop and deliver complex code and modules for new features/customizations requested/approved from the project team.
- Ability to debug/modify existing code and modules delivered by product suppliers.
- Lead deliverables of product changes by TOS suppliers/product suppliers connected with TOS.
- Guide QA team in writing/execute test cases for new features in development.
- Change management skills to manage code versions and history.
- Collaborate with other developers, testers and system engineers to ensure quality product enhancements.
- Provide technical support to UN/EDIFACT, Systems Interfaces, Reefer system, Semi & Full Automations systems.
- Perform the annual and monthly preventive maintenance plan for the Containers Systems like TOS, GOS, VBS, Reefer, Semi/Full Automate Container systems
- Perform the upgrade of container systems version, assuring the correct operation of the system and the integration with other systems
- Tracking and monitoring the performance of the systems, detecting early any issues, minimize impact to operations and customer services.
- Develop, analyze, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, use cases and flowcharts for developers and testers.
- Analyze, Design, Implement and Test new systems applications

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years in Groovy Development related to container terminals and/or shipping industry.
- Proven experience with IT system application implementations teams.
- Experience defining, implementing, and testing systems interfaces between Port systems and ERP, Customs and Customer Portals systems.
- Automation interfaces knowledge for RTG, Auto Gate and Crane OCR.
- Critical thinking ability, strong problem-solving capacity, Project management skills
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and provide solutions for complex business issues with multiple stakeholder requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills specifically in Information Technology, system designs, application configuration.
- High energy, enthusiastic and proactive self-starter, self-motivated with the ability to work in a fastmoving environment
- Reliable, focused, with demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other relevant qualification.
- Strong Knowledge in Groovy and Java is a must.
