ROLE OVERVIEW
The Labor and Employment specialist will support in providing employment law advice on employment related matters to support NEOMs increasingly complex and diverse employment landscape. The role will have a good knowledge of KSA Labour Laws and will seek to reduce legal employment risk to NEOM.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Labor and Employment specialist responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Legal Advisory
- Provide legal advice and guidance on employment and immigration law issues and requirements including hiring, constructive discipline, performance, discrimination & harassment, terminations, pay and benefits, restrictive covenants, business transfers and corporate transactional support.
- Provide legal advice and input on NEOM employment policies and procedures
- Coordinates external employment counsel advice as required
Research & Horizon Scanning
- Conducts research into KSA laws as required
- Scans the regulatory landscape to identify new laws / regulations (KSA and International) that may impact NEOM
Drafting
- Review and guide the drafting and development of documentation such as contracts of employment, severance agreements, policies, guidelines and procedures and other templates
- Such guidance covers disciplinary, performance management and grievance, annual leave, sickness, harassment, conduct, behavioral abuses and discrimination.
Stakeholder Management
- Develops a positive collaboration between NEOM Legal and relevant stakeholders to maintain and enhance awareness of employment law requirements
Incorporation Matters
- Supports on employment elements of corporate structures and formations, issues / risks regarding employee transfers and restructuring
Training
- Supports on Employment Law Briefings to NEOM Legal
Employment Litigation
- Supports NEOM legal in defending employment related claims

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in KSA in corporate transactional work and labour laws
- Professional experience gained in private practice in KSA with local or international law firms
- Preferred experience of working in house
- Experience of working in diverse environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good verbal and written English language skills
- Ability to build long term trusted relationships with business stakeholders
- Ability to analyze processes, identify risks, and propose and document solutions
- Good drafting skills
- Strong understanding KSA labour laws and relevant employment related Government portals
- Experience of KSA company laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Law or relevant field.
