Job Description King Faisal Air Academy (KFAA) Base Maintenance Manager - 00124931 King Faisal Air Academy (KFAA) Base Maintenance Manager Location: Al-Majma'ah, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE The purpose of this role is to manage the prioritisation of all activities pertinent to supporting the Flying Programme both tactically and strategically effectively integrating all lines of Pt.145 and Pt.147 Capability (Supply, Maintenance, Quality, Technical Services, and Training).

Ensure maximum Fleet Availability through effective decision making, prioritisation and KPI management. Act as a the Main Point of Contact (POC) for T-21 Fleet liaising directly with HQRSAF, KFAA Base, MODSAP and BAE Systems personnel based in Riyadh and Overseas. Maintain the integrity of all data outputs, reports and briefs that relate to the performance of the T-21 fleet. Exercise oversight over all Operational tasks ensuring dependencies are effectively managed ensuring events are planned and executed in a timely fashion. Evaluate Operational Performance data to identify opportunities to improve the performance of the T-21 fleet. Assist with technical and reliability studies to increase availability of assets and minimize repair cost. Conduct cost benefit analysis for engineering customer specific modifications and provide recommendations. Maintain oversight of any ongoing disciplinary actions, seeking resolution where possible. Hold ownership and maintain tracking of any ongoing deferred defects of the T-21 fleet. Use their knowledge and available resource to seek solutions to both technical issues and supply chain discrepancies. The role is based in Al-Majma’ah. Travel to other location s / bases can be expected on an infrequent basis. Qualifications: National civilian / military equivalent recognised aircraft, aerospace or technician traineeship / apprenticeship. Have extensive proven post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training. Have extensive proven experience in a relevant management role. Excellent leadership management skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel. Business unit level awareness of circumstances outside the organisation. Must have an understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role. Be able to work under their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues Working knowledge of Q-pulse, SMS and thorough understanding of M&CA mandates and processes Must demonstrate the required level of knowledge to understand and comply with company systems and standards in reference to reading Engineering drawings and Operational Standards. Must demonstrate an understanding of the organisations Quality Management System in reference to identifying, understanding and the interpretation of processes and procedures relevant to the role. Experience of deep aircraft maintenance / modification, preferably T-21. A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to their work area. Experience of RSAF documentation and procedures. Have experience / working knowledge of EASA Part 145 / 147 and Part M Working knowledge of Q-pulse, SMS and an understanding of M&CA processes. Completion of a recognised supervisory management course. Practitioner level knowledge of the aircraft maintenance / Part 145 environment and a Familiar level of knowledge of continuing airworthiness / Part M. Expert knowledge of the OA&T Maintenance Organisation Exposition and supporting procedures. Expert knowledge of maintenance authorisations and associated limitations. Expert skills in the identification of unsafe conditions. A Familiar level of skills in the management of aircraft modifications, technical instructions and Part M Technical Services. At least a Familiar level of knowledge of all O&AT platforms, ideally Q-Course.
