Staffing Coordinator, Dubai Office
About the job
As the
staffing coordinator for our Dubai office, you will lead and manage the full consulting staffing cycle for the BAs, SBAs, Associates and Managers from lead and proposals stage to sold and running projects, ensuring the development of consultants according to the career track, while fulfilling the various business needs.
Reporting directly to the staffing manager in Dubai, you will be given the freedom to be yourself along with recognition for what you bring to the table, allowing you make a real impact and be a true Kearney Original.
Key responsibilities
Resource allocation:
Identify and assign appropriate consultants to support all billable work within the unit When assigning consultant to projects, consider the following criteria: availability, project type, scope and requirements, consultant skills, experience, capabilities, development needs and preferences, project officer / manager requests, preferences and any other restrictions using the tools available Proactively reach out to other regions to import or export specific skills, based on global requests o Liaise with the HR team to align local resources with external contractors needs.
Capacity management:
Liaise with HR and recruitment on what skills, capabilities, expertise are in demand within the unit Understand who is leaving / joining and when, what is their skill set to better manage the pipeline and integrate new joiners into the project flow
Realization management:
Work towards achieving and maintaining target capacity utilization for the unit (through imports and exports depending on the period). Manage staffing information by updating all staffing and availability information in the SAP MRS System daily. Encourage and enforce up-to-date CVs and other information (e.g. Areas of expertise) in the expert tracker tool Prepare and “publish” general weekly staffing reports Provide relevant staffing information to HR to minimize vacation balances and drive utilization for non-utilized resources Track and analyze timesheet compliance
Actively engage with Global staffing team:
Participate in conference calls / meetings Support staffing requests (identify resources for projects and assist with identifying projects for available resources) Ensure implementation of Global staffing guidelines/rules within the unit
Management of unbillable resources:
Identify and assign appropriate consultants to support all non-billable work within the unit Proactively support pipeline development – put forward consultants to work on proposals, attend leads and proposals Manage proposal resourcing – understand the nature of the project and suggest appropriate consultants and qualify what proposals are more likely to be converted into projects (e.g. non-competitive proposal, project extension, etc.), what are the timeline and resourcing requirements
Talent development:
Work with HR to ensure the development of consultants and check that consultants do their mandatory trainings / follow regularly training (in coordination with MEA training team) Understand the quality and level of performance of consultants on projects Prepare the talent reviews twice a year Inform HR in case of performance difficulties
Talent retention:
Build and maintain credibility and relationships with consultants, principals and partners to provide “better fit for the job” Work with consultants to understand their expectations and development needs, identify projects opportunities to allow them to progress in their careers Seek regular updates on expectations / performance / development needs with mentors and partners

Have an analytical background and be able to accurately forecast staffing requirements Have ability to assess and link the right person for the right project based on correlating the needs of the project and the skills and experience of the consultant Have a mix of business sense, HR and Finance understanding Possess proficiency in scheduling methods and procedures related to project work Possess excellent communication skills Are a pro-active self-starter with a positive and confident style, able to interact and communicate effectively at all levels Are proficient in MS Office; Excel is a must Possess strong accuracy with attention to detail Hold a masters/undergraduate degree or equivalent educational experience Are fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
