Description
Application Strategy and Leadership
Design and implement the IT application strategy to align with the organization's business objectives.Lead and oversee the applications team, ensuring effective development, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical applications.Act as a subject matter expert, advising on optimal technologies and methodologies to address business challenges.
Application Portfolio Management
Manage the full lifecycle of business applications, from planning and selection to implementation and continuous optimization.Supervise a portfolio of applications, ensuring they meet high standards for performance, security, and user experience.Assess and recommend third-party software solutions to enhance operational efficiency and business processes.
Project Management & Implementation
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of application-related projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion aligned with business goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing applications team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.Establish clear performance expectations, provide constructive feedback, and support team members' career growth.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance of all applications with internal security policies, external regulations, and industry standards.Develop and enforce IT governance frameworks for managing application lifecycles.Mitigate risks associated with application systems by implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Monitor application performance and spearhead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the application domain and recommend their adoption where beneficial.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure reliable support and high-quality solutions.Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders across the organization, gathering requirements, providing updates, and aligning IT initiatives with business needs.
Profile
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable.
Experience
A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing application management.Proven track record in managing enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) within large-scale organizations.Extensive knowledge of application development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.Hands-on experience with cloud-based applications, SaaS platforms, and integration of third-party solutions.Background working with international companies, demonstra
