The Position
Job Scope
The Therapy Area (TA) Integrated Strategic Lead (ISL) acts as an agnostic steward of resources, leverages the expertise across the network to ensure integrated disease area outcomes are achieved through prioritization of business outcomes, optimizing resource allocation and seizing opportunities to deliver on evolving TA needs and enable triple win outcomes.
The Saudi Affiliate will run with multiple PODs, focused on portfolio prioritization, system shaping and partnership aligned to the delivery of Business Outcomes. The PODs will focus on portfolio, system shaping and partnership priorities, which will in turn define what work needs to be delivered. The PODs do not own the assets or priorities; they act as guardians of these for as long as it is deemed necessary that these priorities remain the focus for the affiliate. PODs are empowered with, and End to end accountable for: creating and delivering value propositions to our customers, including defining work packages (including start and end date, resource and investment requirements), optimal working models (e.g. commissioning of work vs. execution within squad and for executing/overseeing work.
Main responsibilities
-Provide inspirational leadership in setting the vision and strategic ambition for the PODs and assuming overall accountability for the execution of this vision/ambition by applying Outcome based planning principles (including budget oversight).
-Ensure POD purpose/vision, goals, strategy, planning and execution (including investment) are aligned to both POD AND portfolio priorities
-Align PODs vision and ambition with regional and global outcomes, leverage the networked ways of working to identify synergies across countries and maximize impact.
-End to end accountable for their respective PODs, including outcome based plan and defining (and regularly assess) resources and capabilities required to achieve these outcomes.
-Allocate functional expertise and resources to internal teams to enable clear and impactful communication plans and engagement strategies to be embedded into team strategies.
-Responsible for collaborating with other ISLs to prioritize and make trade-offs decisions between PODs and portfolio prioritization.
-Ensure Customer (internal and external) voice is included in their solutions through co-creation and establish a consistent and best-in-class customer journey experience through omni channels.
-Act as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety; putting patients at the center of all actions by consistent business behavior that complies with applicable laws, industry codes and Roche’s Code of Conduct.
-Create an environment where diverse technical disciplines can align, develop and execute in order to pursue the affiliate/squad North Star ambition.
-Provide VACC leadership and coaching of PODs members, peers and more broadly as required, to ensure individuals and teams are fit-for-purpose and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the Organisation
Education, Experience and Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences, Masters Degree is a plus.
-More than 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or relevant commercial, customer, patient experience.
-Deep understanding of the relevant pharma industry.
-Experience in commercial/Marketing or access environment
-Fluent in written and spoken English
-Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas and alternatives to the Ecosystem Stakeholders and other involved parties.
-Credibility in the subject area and potential to become a mentor/expert for other employees.
-Energetic and inspired view on the work, ability to inspire fellow Ecosystem members.
-Desire and ability to work in an atmosphere of trust and transparency
-Openness to new (other people’s) ideas and desire to co-develop them together with the team.
-Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and work and study outside the comfort zone.
-Creative leadership profile.
