ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the NEOM Insurance Division’s Director – Underwriting, the Insurance Senior Manager – Underwriting will be assigned responsibility for and be primary Point of Contact for specified regions at NEOM. The successful candidate will devise, implement and manage the full insurance and risk control programs, including business case development, strategic ideation, research, design, build and deployment

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Insurance Senior Manager – Underwriting’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage insurance and risk for all projects at NEOM; validate the efficacy of insurance and risk programs in relation to the exposures identified
- Consult with other NEOM employees – including projects, risk, proponent, and procurement – to optimize insurance placement strategies and align with business requirements
- Manage risk engineering program for assigned regions
- Execute end-to-end management of the insurance lifecycle – including placement, renewal, evolution and conclusion - and liaise with brokers, insurers and reinsurers to effect required changes
- Establish and maintain various models to govern the adequacy of assigned insurance and risk portfolios
- Provide insurance and risk management advice and guidance as necessary, both technical and professional, within NEOM
Leadership
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials tailored to stakeholder needs
- Ensure that all stakeholder engagement activities comply with the relevant regulations and ethical standards

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role with reputable insurer(s) or reinsurer(s)
- Expert-level knowledge of risk assessment, risk analysis, technical pricing, NatCAT management and accumulation control
- Expert knowledge of insurance risk management
- Knowledge of regulatory & compliance in relevant industry sectors (preferably in KSA)
- Previous experience with SAP preferred
Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree/diploma or equivalent in insurance, business administration, engineering, or other field complementary to the position
- Insurance and/or risk-related certification/qualifications preferred (FRM, CIC, CPCU, CRM, AAI, or similar)
