Information Manager – Site Ops
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE
AtkinsRéalis Business is hiring an experienced Information Manager (BIM - Site Ops.) for our Middle east delivery team. This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting construction project delivery. The successful candidate should be a people, process, technology focused individual whose job will be to ensure our project delivery teams adhere to standards and the best industry methods. The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master/Bachelor’s degree in architectural or civil engineering and 10+ years’ experience in AEC industry, minimum 3 years’ experience in Middle East region.
- 5+ years’ experience in digital delivery of complex, multidisciplinary project (Information Management/BIM).
- Information Management certification by a relevant institution e.g. BRE, Operam Academy, RICS etc.
- Software certification such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Synchro, Fuzor etc. is desirable.
- Technical proficiency of BIM LOD 300 with strong knowledge of LOD 400 – 500 BIM models
- Contractor’s BIM experience is advantageous with an understanding of driving BIM project from design, construction to handover stage.
KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- A thorough understanding of the data, information management and BIM including compliance to ISO 19650 standards.
- Sound knowledge in engineering design and to assist design team in Self/Inter disciplinary services coordination, quality compliance etc.
- Expert knowledge of BIM authoring tools from various software providers such as Autodesk, Bentley in delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
- Expert knowledge of BIM federation and co-ordination platforms such as Navisworks, BIM Track for performing tasks like clash detection and resolution, model walkthrough and issue tracking and management.
- Expert knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) such as ACC, BIM360, ASITE and ProjectWise.
- Knowledge of data visualization platforms such as PowerBI.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as DynamoBIM.
- Experience on information management/BIM uses such as construction sequencing, quantity take-offs, virtual reality, augmented reality etc.
- Strong ability to develop technical documentation for Information Management.
- Experienced in implementation, training and utilization of Information Management tools from Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble etc.
- Effective communication, coordination and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
JOB DUTIES
- As an Information Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our digital content is produced, stored, shared and exploited using the latest technologies and practices as agreed by the business.
- Must have developed Information Management documents e.g. Pre- and Post-BEP, federation strategy, Level Of Information Need, responsibility matrix etc.
- Ensure internal and external capability and capacity processes are implemented and followed.
- Understanding of MIDP/TIDP is a must.
- Administer CDE (ACC/BIM 360) and support project team in utilization of CDE.
- Perform multidisciplinary clash detection, identification, grouping and support in assignment and resolution of clashes.
- Undertake the functions of effective information management as part of the team in accordance to ISO 19650 throughout our projects' lifecycles, where AtkinsRealis are either the Lead Appointed Party or an Appointed Party.
- Ensure that the following are properly implemented and applied by the delivery team:
- BIM execution plan
- Information Exchange Processes
- Self-disciplinary co-ordination workflows including clash matrixes
- Check and review processes (both technical and quality) for deliverables utilizing digital tools
- File naming convention for deliverables and process for updating status and revision codes in compliance with ISO 19650
- LOD / LOI to be generated in BIM Models across stages in the project lifecycle
- Support auditing task teams in the delivery of their Task Information Delivery Plans, to meet the Appointing Parties Requirements.
- Support strategic global and regional digital initiatives.
- Support/lead ISO certification and its continuance globally for AtkinsRealis.
- Support Digital Lead regarding all required tasks.
- Provide technical advice on software and technology involved in the delivery of projects to the BIM processes and workflows.
- Must have extensive understanding of point-cloud data for as-built model preparation.
- Chairing / leading BIM workshop / Clash Resolution meetings.
- Maintain minutes and support meeting organisation for the BIM activities.
- Must have thorough understanding of tasks related to QA/QC of LOD 400-500 BIM models.
- Coordination of supply chain Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP’s) to support the development of the Master Deliverables List to ensure supply chain BIM deliverables in line with the Employers Information Requirements
- Manage coordination reports of the interfaces between engineering disciplines / design and construction / temporary and permanent works design activities, through the BIM process.
- Development of the design to Construction through BIM processes such as 5D/ 4D.
- Must have a solid understanding of BIM processes, standards, and construction processes across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Drives the strategic planning and management of BIM functions included but not limited producing asset information model (AIM) with the related O&M data by using COBie.
- Experience on managing MIDP / TIDP
- COBie experience is a must with an understanding of Uniclass and Masterclass standards.
- Thorough understanding of engineering principles and spatial coordination
- The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other key project partners.
