The I&C Site Engineer will play a key role within the project, overseeing instrumentation and control systems in the tunnel MEP fit-out scope. This role requires a strong technical background and hands-on experience in managing I&C systems within demanding environments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all installations and integrations align with high standards, as well as with project and regulatory requirements.
Manage the installation, commissioning, and testing of I&C systems for the tunnel MEP fit-out, ensuring adherence to FEMCO standards and project specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) to integrate control systems within the tunnel infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols specific to the project.
Conduct inspections, calibrations, and diagnostics on critical I&C equipment to ensure precise and reliable performance.
Document all technical activities, including calibration records, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies, ensuring that I&C systems are safe and fit for purpose.
Participate in HAZOP studies and conduct risk assessments tailored to tunnel operations.
Resolve technical and operational issues efficiently to maintain project timelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Provide training and technical support to operators and site staff to promote safe and effective use of control systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10 years of experience with I&C systems in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably involving tunnels or complex MEP fit-outs.
Experience working in tunnel or confined-space projects within Giga Projects.
Proficiency with industry-leading control systems, especially with Schneider and Siemens.
Proficiency with PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems used in tunnel or MEP operations.
Strong skills in instrumentation calibration, control loop tuning, and system diagnostics.
Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards relevant to large-scale infrastructure projects.
