Job summary:
The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs across the organization’s facilities in Saudi and META region. This role involves ensuring that all locations adhere to local regulations and corporate HSE standards, as well as coordinating facility management operations to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant workplaces. The HSE Manager will also lead initiatives to foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in all facility management practices.
HSE Policy & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs that align with local regulations and corporate standards across all sites.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and address any discrepancies.
- Keep up-to-date with industry and regulatory developments related to HSE and incorporate them into company practices.
Facility Management Oversight:
- Oversee facility management activities, including maintenance, energy management, waste management, and infrastructure safety.
- Develop standards and protocols to ensure facilities operate efficiently and meet safety and environmental compliance.
- Coordinate with local facility managers to support resource allocation and prioritize maintenance and improvement needs.
Risk Management & Incident Response:
- Conduct risk assessments, implement risk mitigation strategies, and ensure readiness for emergency response at all locations.
- Lead investigations of incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Establish reporting systems for incidents, audits, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Training & Development:
- Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and facility management teams across locations.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness through regular workshops, safety briefings, and employee engagement initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Sustainability:
- Identify opportunities for sustainability and energy-saving initiatives in facility management.
- Lead and support cross-functional projects aimed at improving safety, efficiency, and environmental performance across facilities.
- Implement systems for tracking and reporting HSE and facility management performance metrics.
Global Coordination:
- Collaborate with regional and local HSE and facility teams to standardize practices and ensure consistency across all locations.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure alignment with HSE and facility standards.
- Support international HSE regulatory compliance and advise on best practices for facility management tailored to each country’s needs.
Professional Development:
- Keep up to date on trainings for professional development
- Ensure myPM objectives are completed in line with company process
- Understanding and adherence to all company policies and procedures
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is a must.
- Registered as an HSE professional in the Saudi authorities systems.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years in HSE management, with at least 1 year of experience in a multi-country or multi-site role, ideally within facility management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of international HSE and facility management standards.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work cross-culturally and manage teams remotely.
- Proficiency in HSE and facility management software is an advantage.
