Duties and Responsibilities:


·        Provide personalized coordinated care, and support for patients and families.


·        Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.


·         Performs housekeeping tasks and cleaning functions in any assigned area, using proper techniques to maintain the areas in an orderly and sanitary condition and to rule out possibilities of cross-infection caused by inadequate housekeeping.


·         Uses housekeeping and cleaning supplies in an appropriate manner and is fully responsible for the use, care and cleaning of equipment necessary for the assigned work area.


·         Assures conformance to safety and infection control standards, monitors work in progress of subordinate personnel and informs the shift Supervisor of deviations or problems encountered.


·         Inspects the physical conditions of the assigned area and initiates action for necessary repairs.


·         Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested.


QUALIFICATIONS:


·        Education qualification not required.


·         Or at least must to know how to communicate (read and write) in English / Arabic Language.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:


·        Freshers are acceptable.


·         With or without experience related to housekeeping job provided that training will be conducted on the probationary months (1st three months after hired date) of the staff.


SPECIALIZED SKILLS :


·        Must be able to communicate in English.


·        A thorough knowledge of the use, care and cleaning of equipment, decontaminating and disinfecting supplies, procedures and practices and infection control procedures id mandatory.


COMPETENCE:


·        Must know the Housekeeping Policy and Procedures and the Infection Control and MOH standards in cleaning.


REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:


·        Proper, effective and compassionate communication.


·        Flexible – shows a supportive attitude toward any changes to work flow for the department.


·         Respectful – shows respect to the HOD, supervisors, other staffs working in the hospital and for the patients and visitors.


·         Responsible – responsibly doing the assigned work and be able to finished any task given.
