They manage a team of nurses and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide specialized care in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff with specialized skills in cardiac critical care.
Assign duties and responsibilities to staff based on their qualifications and experience.
Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
Address staffing shortages and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Ensure that patients receive timely, appropriate, and compassionate care.
Supervise the nursing staff in providing complex interventions, such as mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration.
Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with physicians and other specialists.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the CCU.
Manage the CCU budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
Oversee the maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
Coordinate with other departments within the healthcare facility to ensure smooth operations.
Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and implement quality initiatives.
Analyze patient satisfaction data and address any concerns.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
