- Participate in the clinic daily activities for patient care and participate in the morning and late day hand over reports
- Review the history and physical examinations of the Intern (if any) under his supervision and formulate a plan of patient management
- Discuss a patient’s planned management with his immediate senior colleague before its implementation
- Interpret basic diagnostic laboratory results, electrocardiographs and chest radiographs
- Perform basic invasive diagnostic test such as lumbar puncture, thoracic and abdominal paracentesis, bone marrow aspiration and joint aspiration (as P&P)
- Familiar with commonly used specialized invasive diagnostic techniques such as gastrointestinal and pulmonary endoscopy and become aware of indications for their use
- Record daily progress noted in the patient’s charts in keeping with generally accepted international standards as per on-going Quality Assurance Program instruction
- Dictate or write discharge/death summaries for former in-patients under his care, under the supervision of senior colleagues
- Attend and actively participate in bedside rounds as scheduled by attending Consultant either singly of as a team determined by the medical director .
- Participate in patients educational activities.
- Participate in the clinic educational activity. This includes Grand Rounds, bedside teaching Sessions, Clinical Lectures, Tutorials, Residents’ Seminars, the Journal Club, Morbidity and Mortality.
- Carryout additional assignments sanctioned by the medical director or designee
- Collaborate with senior colleagues in research activities within the organization.
- Abide by the policies and procedures of the organization, the by-Laws, rules and regulations of the Medical Staff of Diaverum ,SCHS and MOH.
- Comply with the standards laid down by the Approved International Accreditation Standard
- Identify any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the clinic or standard of service for

patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm through the chain of command
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities
- Able to use the electronic facility available for patients records and medical results (iRIMS)
- Invasive procedures:
- Blood extraction - Peripheral line - Central line in case of emergency - Dialysis Catheter insertion and removal under the supervision of Senior Registrar, Registrar, or Fellows
