Then we want to hear from you!ROLE OVERVIEWThe Fleet & Technical Manager overseas the Port of Neom fleet ensuring reliability and service level commitments in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner. With an ambitious decarbonization target of net zero emissions by 2030 the role is pivotal in assisting the development of a corresponding strategy for fleet acquisition and technical management. The role will oversee world-leading reliability practices through the adoption of smart, yet highly efficient technologies that help drive the Port of Neom’s competitiveness, service delivery and shareholder valueREQUIREMENTS SUMMARYExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.High attention to details to ensure the processes are optimized.Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Competence in negotiating with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.Flexibility to adjust engagement strategies based on changing circumstances or feedback.Ability to lead and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.Uphold ethical standards in all stakeholder interactions and communications.ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES The Fleet & Technical Manager's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Implement and oversee the fleet management strategy and resultant processes to ensure safe and efficient service delivery. Ensure that all Port of Neom vessels are properly maintained, certified and ready to meet the operational requirements of the port and our service commitment to our customers, in line with industry best practices.Develop the technical budget for the maintenance and dry dockings, including monitoring of and control of costs of repairs and maintenance, spare parts, fuel and lube oil usage.Drive the planning and co-ordination of maintenance, regular servicing, dry dockings and vessel upgrades through designated service providers.Create and ensure the effective use of planned maintenance systems including (but not limited to) preventative maintenance schedules, inventory management and both safety and operational critical spares regimes. Execute surveys, inspections and certification ensuring that the vessels are fully operational in accordance with classification requirements.Oversee and develop a newbuilding strategy that will meet both the operational needs of the growing port alongside the ambitious 2030 net zero targets. Adding expertise and guidance to key decisions in both vessel operations and green technology to enable the samePromote Neom’s commitment to work safely, coaching and developing the marine services crews LeadershipPrepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials tailored to stakeholder needs.Ensure that all stakeholder engagement activities comply with the relevant regulations and ethical standards.Utilize data analytics to drive strategies and decisions.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 7 years' professional experience in similar fieldStrong shoreside experience as a Fleet Technical Manager in a related marine industry having overseen a sizeable fleet at a cluster or global levelStrong experience in vessel maintenance regimes, docking programs, newbuild sourcing / procurement and construction oversightKnowledge and demonstrated experience in data applications to drive fleet efficiency and optimizationExperience in decarbonization across fleets including (but not limited to) digital tools, machine sensory as well as alternate and future fuel applications in the marine industryA strong business acumen with demonstrated experience in capital and operating budgeting having experience in fleet planning, acquisition and expenditureStrong experience in data insights, analytics and reportingAn entrepreneurial spirit and mindset, challenging established norms Strong Project Management skillsHigh tenacity and persistence to follow through on issues, able to work with ambiguitySelf-starter with a strong personal drive to deliver and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven skills in building relationships with stakeholders and/or customers, internal & externalQualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent in relevent fieldFormal qualifications as a Marine Chief Engineer, Naval architect or Mechanical Engineer
