Job Description Fleet Planning Lead - 00124401 Fleet Planning Lead Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE The purpose of this role is for Strategic Fleet Planning Advice and Maintenance Tasking within Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) at KAAB Dhahran. Activities to be conducted in accordance with joint BAE Systems and RSAF fleet planning and mandatory Continuing Airworthiness (CA) requirements.
Maintain the Strategic Fleet Planning Advisory Service to assist RSAF in achieving optimal operational availability of Tornado fleet. Perform scernario modelling and analysis through the use of Tapestry Solutions’ GOLDesp and fleet modelling tools as provided by the Company for this purpose. Develop Tactical and Strategic plans for appropriate authorisation, distribution, review and archiving. Ensure schedule maintenance, modification programmes, Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) changes and Operational Requirements are collated, prioritised and scheduled effectively through the implementation and management of a robust Aircraft Statement of Work (ASOW) process, delivered via Pre-Input Review Meetings (PIRM) and Post-Output Review Meetings (PORM). Ensure maintenance scheduling effectiveness and compliance against the approved fleet plans, liaising with stakeholders and agreeing and implementing recovery action where appropriate. Advise RSAF of optimum fleet utilisation to ensure Flying Hour (FH) and Fatigue Index (FI) accrual of each aircraft is appropriately managed to enable Out of Service Date (OSD) achievement. Assist SBDCP in the management of fleet spares through analysis, modelling and development of recommendations to ensure stock holding is commensurate with fleet size and configuration standard. Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the KAAB Fleet Planning Team, Plans/Schedules, Records and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to deliver the Tornado Support Service (TSS) contract and Fleet Planning Advisory Service (FPAS). Develop, implement and maintain fleet planning and aircraft records processes and procedures at KAAB. Review draft Technical Instructions (TCTO, SI etc.) in order to assess impact on the fleet and recommend effective embodiment strategy for endorsement. Review draft Reliability Reports and recommendations in order to determine recovery actions or initiate further investigation, to minimise impact on the TSS business . Actively support the development of Saudi National expertise in Fleet snd Aircraft Records management, through coaching, work experience and mentoring as appropriate. Manage the Fleet Planning element of the Master Data Assumptions List (MDAL) input and provide recommendations to support bid activities. Conduct performance reviews, coach and mentor personnel as necessary to support their development. Deputise for KAAB Fleet Operations Manager during periods of absence as required. Deputise for Reliability and Maintainability Lead as required. Instigate and manage regular ‘Lessons Learned’ reviews and apply the outcomes to future forums. Proactively manage own Personal Development Report (PDR). Have proven extensive aircraft maintenance experience, supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training or extensive proven experience in a relevant CA (Part M) role. A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC in a relevant Planning or Technical discipline, EASA Part 66 Category C qualification, or suitable equivalent. Have extensive experience in a relevant management role. IELTS 6.0 or higher for Saudi Nationals. Current Tornado experience. Be able to work on own initiative to resolve technical issues. Understanding of Company Part M policies, processes and procedures. A well-developed knowledge of Aerospace and Defence Company industry. Demonstrate familiarity with Continuing Airworthiness, the Tornado aircraft and the aircraft maintenance environment in general.
