FinOps Advisor

As a FinOps Advisor at DeepSource Technologies, you will be responsible for leading our financial operations related to cloud infrastructure across major platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your primary focus will be on facilitating collaboration between finance and engineering teams to ensure efficient cloud spend management and to develop strategies that promote financial accountability among stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud financial management, cost allocation strategies, and a passion for driving cloud efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of cloud expenses and usage patterns across various platforms to identify trends and areas for cost reduction.
• Partner with technical teams to implement FinOps best practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate teams about effective cloud cost management strategies.
• Develop and present regular reports on cloud spending, including insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Implement strategies for chargeback and showback, enhancing accountability across departments.
• Work with the procurement team to negotiate cloud service contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Assist in establishing metrics and KPIs to track the success of FinOps initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies regarding cloud usage and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities for automation and tool integration to streamline financial operations related to cloud resources.
