The Financial Analyst role in the retail and wholesale industry is pivotal for driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights that support the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance while identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.Responsibilities:Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.Assist in the budgeting process by providing accurate forecasts and financial models.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial health.Conduct financial analysis for new business initiatives and investment opportunities.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.Support the finance team in audits and financial reviews.Identify areas for process improvement within financial operations.Provide training and support to junior finance staff as needed.Preferred Candidate:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with financial software such as Power BI.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions.Ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
