Fibre Technician

• Minimum 5 years experience
• Experience of working in industrial locations desireable
• Physically fit - all workers undergo a site medical prior to admission
• Experience in complete installation of fibre installation/remediation work:

Pulling of fibre

Installation of fibre equipment including cabinets

Termination

Splicing

Dressing and labelling of fibres

Working with low level DC power (12-50v)

• Experience with Cisco switches
• Experience with Cat 5/6 Ethernet cables
• Additional experience with VHF/UHF radios also an advantage.
• The successful candidate will be expected to work on site for up to 28 days at a time, followed by 14 days rest.
